Meet Ashley

A Board-Certified Social Worker, Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Certified Supervisor for Licensed Addictions Counselors, Seaside Psychotherapy’s Ashley Pugeau Pearson, LCSW, has been named one of the Top 25 Leaders in Addictive Disorders.

A native of New Orleans, Ashley holds a Master of Social Work from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Orleans. She previously served as the Singing River Health Systems' Behavioral Health Therapist, where she provided counseling to a diverse population, conducted group sessions for structured outpatient programs, and performed a wide variety of psychosocial assessments for clients.

Ashley was formerly the Social Work Supervisor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the East Jefferson Mental Health and Addictive Disorders Clinic of the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority. In this role, she served as DWI treatment coordinator for Eastbank and Westbank Jefferson Parish, where she implemented an educational program for clients with co-occurring disorders and provided extensive case management facilitation with the legal system and the Office of Child Protection.

Ashley is a participant and member of several committees in the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority and a graduate of the 2005 Leadership Institute. She has advocated at the state level regarding the DWI program, has been a presenter for Safe and Drug Free Schools, and is an active member of the Junior League of New Orleans.

At Seaside, Ashley specializes in substance abuse/addiction, mental health, crisis intervention, group therapy and relapse prevention. She resides in Ocean Springs with her husband Bill and children Liam, age 9, and Charlie, age 7.
